Captivo Link connects 8×8 Work to the CRM your team already uses. Every call is logged on the right contact and deal within minutes of ending, with 8×8’s AI summary, each action item as a task, and the transcript. Nobody types a thing. Logging runs on our servers, so there’s nothing to install for it: no desktop app, and nothing to change on your phones. An 8×8 admin sets it up once for the whole firm. For caller ID, there’s an optional browser extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. It shows who’s calling, with their open records from your CRM, as the phone rings, and opens their record in one click.

What it does

  • Logs every call to the right record. Calls are matched by phone number to the contact, their company and their open deal, matter or ticket, as soon as 8×8 has the call.
  • Adds 8×8’s AI summary. When 8×8 has AI notes for a call, the summary is added to the logged call, and each action item becomes a task in your CRM, due the next morning.
  • Keeps the full conversation close. The transcript is added to your CRM with the call. Recordings play from the call’s page in Captivo Link, streamed from 8×8.
  • Lets you choose whose calls are logged. Switch people on or off; each person switched on is a seat. Ring groups and the main line are logged free.
  • Tells you when something needs attention. If 8×8 or the CRM stops accepting the connection, Captivo Link says so straight away and logs the calls from the outage once it’s reconnected.

Supported CRMs

How it works

1

Connect 8×8

Add an 8×8 API key and a call-history user, so Captivo Link can read your calls. See Connecting 8×8.
2

Sign in to your CRM

Sign in once as the CRM user Captivo Link should log calls as. You never share a CRM password with us.
3

Choose whose calls are logged

Switch on the people whose calls should be logged. Each one is a seat.
4

Calls arrive

Captivo Link checks 8×8 for new calls every minute. Each one is logged on the right record, usually within 10 minutes of ending, and the AI summary is added when 8×8 has it.

Your data

Captivo Link keeps only what it needs to log a call: who called whom and when, how long it lasted, and where it was filed in your CRM.
  • Recordings stay in 8×8. Captivo Link never stores them, and plays them straight from 8×8.
  • Transcripts and AI summaries are written to your CRM. Captivo Link’s own copy is removed a day after the call (or a month after, for a call held while a connection was down). When you open a call in Captivo Link, its transcript and summary are fetched from 8×8 and not stored.
  • Credentials are stored encrypted. For most CRMs you sign in through the CRM’s own authorisation, so Captivo Link holds a token, never your CRM password.

Requirements

  • 8×8 Work, with an 8×8 admin to set it up.
  • A supported CRM, and a user in it for Captivo Link to log calls as.
  • An X Series X4 licence (or higher) for the call-history user. See Connecting 8×8.
  • For AI summaries, transcripts and recordings: those features switched on in 8×8 for the people whose calls are logged.
